here I used my fish eye lens, it is not very good, but it does give a nice overview.
The poster reads: Austin pedal cars were made in the specially constructed Austin Junior Car Factory al Barged in Soulh Wales, which opened on 5 July 1949. It was paid for by Government funds and was run on a not-for-profit basis and purely for the employment of disabled coal miners suffering from the lung disease, pneumoconiosis. "It's just like Daddy's car!" The cars, the Palhfinder Special and J40, were made from scrap off-cuts of metal from the Longbridge Austin Motor Car Factory and were built and painted the some way and with the some expertise as the motor cars themselves. The oginal prototype; J0/1, was lesl-driven by our Club pesident, Marcia Blake, daughter of one of the designers Alfred Ash. The J10 was primarily intended for the American market but it also eslablished its own export markets in Canada and Denmark. Austin Pedal Cars evenlually were to be found in homes around the world.
