Vintage roof racks

for 50's and 60' cars

In 2015 I made three new roofracks together with my dad based on the Portarack Minor. The rack Mounted to the curved roof of an A30, it has a pleasant look. The curvature of the roof is matched by the roof rack and luggage capacity is increased in mere minutes. Its period appearance suits a multitude of vintage cars like the Austin A30 - A35, Morris Minor, Volkswagen Beetle, DAF 600, DAF 750 (Daffodil) and the classic Mini. The roof rack comes in two designs: a one piece and a version that can be taken apart.

The rubber suction cups ensure that the load is distributed and keeps the roof rack in place.

The roof rack consists of 2 mirrored sides were tubes are fixed in between. It is placed on the roof using 4 rubber feet that can swivel and fixed to the roof channel using 2 threaded rods that are attached to the roof with 2 clamps. This version can be disassembled for easy storage. The roof rack also accommodates several car models because the width can be adjusted slightly.
